I was talking online to colleagues recently about the ability to talk about what we do, and how so many of us find it hard, despite having been in business for a long time. As most of us work in what I like to call heart-centred businesses, it can mean that we fear being vulnerable online by giving away too much about ourselves. Being self-employed therapists means most of us are a one-person band doing all of our own marketing, writing our copy and posting on social media. All of this is has been a steep learning curve for me, but do you know what? The more that I do it, the better I get! It’s like everything we do. We just get better at it each time we have another go.
So in that vein, I thought I would write a post about myself next, telling you more about my journey and my story, which feels very vulnerable. I understand that when someone chooses to work with a therapist, it’s helpful to know more about them, so that you can connect on a human level, and see if you like them, ultimately. So if you would like to know more, look out for my next post!
