An Award-Winning Therapy Practice
I am proud to run my practice and provide award-winning hypnotherapy, both in person and online. The photo above was taken at the Gala Dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Syon Park, where I won Silver in the Best Businesswoman of the Decade Category at The Best Businesswomen Awards, 2024.
What Makes This Practice Award-Winning?
It was a long-held dream for me to become self-employed and change the way I work. I worked very hard at retraining and starting a new career path, after many years in teaching. Despite having given so much to my first profession, I still had so much more to give. I knew that I could have an impact on the daily lives of individuals. By creating a practice, I would be able to help so many people. Each of those people have partners, children and families, colleagues and friends. I knew that by changing the life of one person, there would be a ripple effect of positive change.
Hypnotherapy That Wins Awards
After thinking long and hard about the different therapies and treatments I had tried, I remembered the best attributes of those practices and considered where they fell short. I invested heavily in my training and have continued to work on the business aspects of my work. Always considering the experience of the client has been a key part of this. What might they be worried about before they start? What questions would they have the week or the day before the first session? How could I make it easier and more comfortable for them? I learn new things form different clients, and so my offerings keep changing and improving.
Why Awards are Important
As I mentioned in a previous post, customer service is key in any business. In the therapy world, customer service is THE most important thing. This is because the therapeutic relationship is critical to the success of the therapy.
Working on your own can make it difficult to judge how well you are doing. Winning awards shows that you have been independently judged to be doing very well. The feedback from clients is critical, but not all clients are happy to post their reviews publicly. With the sensitive nature of the work I do, it is easier for my clients to share their feedback directly with me. This means that it can be harder for potential clients to find an experienced and qualified therapist.
When a business enters an award, it means they have to take a good look at what they are doing. They have to gather evidence and testimonials to prove what they are saying. It should be a rigorous process. The national awards that I entered are The Best Businesswomen Awards, which are now in their tenth year. Owner Debbie Gilbert said:
‘This is the 10th Year of the awards, and we have recognised over 1000 women since we launched in 2015 across a huge range of industry sectors. The selection process is rigorous and to be one of our winners is a major achievement. The judges make their selections based on business expertise, innovation, and high levels of customer care. Our winners are shining examples of outstanding entrepreneurs who have proved their success to our judges and have shown they have the results worthy of being recognised and rewarded.”
Hypnotherapist Wins
This has been a great experience for me for a number of reasons. Firstly, it shows me that I am doing a good job. Filling in an award application is an onerous and time-consuming job. It makes you look into all of the facets of your work and shines a light into all of the hidden corners. Yes, those things that you keep avoiding! No longer. I used to be so afraid of speaking on camera, but now it is just something I do to help my audience.
One of best byproducts is that I am now able to support other women who are making strides with their businesses. My monthly networking group is a great way for me to do that.
